On Tuesday, the United States Department of Justice declined a request from Representative Mo Brook to intervene for him in a lawsuit filed by a Democratic lawmaker. The lawmaker sued him for his role in inciting the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
In the latest filing, the Department of Justice stated that it did not believe Mo Brooks was acting within the role of his duties when he spoke in front of the pro-Trump rally just before rioters stormed insider the building. He said to the crowd, “today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking a**.”
