Size – 20 to 30 inches in length.

Coloration – The snake’s body features prominent bands of various colors, including black, yellow, red, yellow, and black (in that order).

Habitat – These snakes like to live underground and are frequently discovered hidden in homes. However, they are rarely spotted.

Bite Danger – Unless stepped on, sat on, or grabbed, these snakes rarely bite. A single drop of venom can cause serious complications when they bite. If bitten, the victim should get medical help as soon as possible.
